We are a growing three-doctor small animal hospital on beautiful Johns Island, SC, and we are looking for a technician who will help us grow.

What You Will Do

• Place IV catheters and perform phlebotomy on dogs and cats of every size and temperament.
• Induce and monitor anesthesia, recognize changes early, and communicate clearly with the doctor.
• Take dental radiographs and position patients for diagnostic radiographs.
• Support wellness, medicine, surgery, and dentistry cases from check-in to discharge.
• Educate clients on home care, medications, and follow-up so they leave confident.
• Use low-stress handling to keep every visit as calm and comfortable as possible.
• Help train and mentor assistants and newer team members.

What You Bring

• Registered, licensed, or certified veterinary technician (LVT, RVT, or CVT) strongly preferred. Candidates with 3 or more years of hands-on small animal medical experience will also be considered.
• Confident, proven skills in IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, anesthetic induction and monitoring, dental radiographs, and radiographic positioning.
• Solid working knowledge of veterinary medicine and terminology.
• Strong communication skills with clients and coworkers.
• Ability to multitask and stay steady in a fast-paced environment.
• A team-player mindset and a mature work ethic.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 18 years old, reliable transportation, and able to lift more than 50 lbs.
